grand rising, synchronized souls 💜

it’s 10/10, the new moon in libra, and TODAY i’m closing more than one chapter 👏🏾

for the last two years i’ve been on a financial plan i never really talked about publicly.

today, i can say: i’ve paid off three credit cards in full. saved $10,000 for my cushion fund, invested another $10,000, and $10,000 set aside for something i’m building next. i didn’t plan for all of that to land in multiples of tens, but on 10/10 i’ll take the sign 🙏🏾

i used to tell myself i was bad with money. i believed that story for a long time. but i’m realizing, i’m not the version of me anymore, that story has ended.

some things don’t need a conversation to end. they just need you to stop showing up.

libra wants balance, so i’m finally doing the math on what i’ve been giving vs. what i’ve actually been getting back.

new moons are beginnings, but you can’t start the next thing while you’re still walking the last chapter.

today i let it go. no conversation, no big announcement, just my feet finally agreeing with my heart, mind and soul.

hoodoo heritage month is all over my feed, and i love watching practitioners honour their lineage.

hoodoo is an african american tradition rooted in the south. my roots are jamaican, so it isn’t mine, and i want to be clear about that. but when i read about it, i keep recognizing things from home.

bush teas and roots for healing. spirit possession. honoring the ancestors. nature spirits. the idea that the dead and the land are still in relationship with us. different names, different histories, and a lot of the same tools 🧰

grand rising synchronized souls, welcome to fall 🍂🍁

if something in you exhaled when the season shifted, honour that. fall has a way of giving us permission to slow down, to turn inward, to stop performing the energy of summer when we’ve been running on empty for weeks.

this is the season of the harvest: of looking honestly at what grew, what didn’t, and what you’re ready to release before the year closes. it’s also the season where a lot comes up. grief that got postponed. decisions that got delayed. feelings that were easier to outrun when the days were longer.

you might be feeling the weight of what’s unfinished. you might be craving stillness but not sure how to let yourself have it. you might be standing at a threshold and not quite ready to cross it.

that’s not behind. that’s exactly where fall finds most of us.

trying something a little different today.

i’ve been doing collective readings for years. and i love them. but lately i’ve been sitting with the personal questions that come up each season. the ones i journal about, the ones that feel like they’re living in the air around me.

so today i decided to ask the question out loud, and pull for each sign from that place.

a little more focused. a little more vulnerable, if i’m being honest. sharing what’s actually on my mind instead of just opening the floor to The Creator and Collective.

i’ve been sitting on this for a few weeks and i don’t have to anymore.

in july 2024 i wrote a story and sent it out into the world with zero idea what would happen to it. two years later, in july 2026, i heard back. it made the final round. then it made the book.

my story is going to be in the latest Chicken Soup for the Soul edition: miracles and other wonders, a collection of true stories about unexpected miracles, answered prayers, coincidences that don’t quite make sense, angels, dreams, and messages from beyond. HOW SYNCHRONIZED 🤯

the book will be released on october 13 📆

i’ve been published online before and it never felt like this. something about a physical book, something you can hold, hits different.

especially this one. i grew up reading chicken soup for the soul, completely lost in other people’s stories. and all these years later, it’s my first published and paid piece in a book. its a dream come true 🙂‍↕️

i’m still deciding if i’m going to do a toronto signing or if i’m doing too much. either way, i’m letting myself be excited about this one.
