A Message from Miriam Tennant to Our Community

We would like to share this beautiful and heartfelt message from Miriam Tennant, announcing the passing of her beloved husband, Dr. Forest Tennant, and speaking directly to the Arachnoiditis community he cared so deeply about.

Dr. Tennant devoted so much of his life to helping people living with Arachnoiditis and intractable pain. Miriam’s words are a touching reminder of his love for this community, his extraordinary dedication, and the legacy he leaves behind.

Please take a few moments to watch and hear her message.

Dr Tennant was a wonderful physician, loyal friend to the global Arachnoiditis community, and loved us as if the healing of each of our experience of pain and suffering was his own life's purpose.

Few people have such bountiful love and give themselves to others as freely, as lovingly and as well as Dr Tennant did.

Let us all remember his wisdom, sacrifice, and way of giving to others, and follow in his way of living through love of others before self.

ACMCRN was born out of a wish to take his work and his care further, by sharing with others, working together towards our common goals, and creating a life that shares our personal gifts with others, as we are made to do. Dr Tennant understood the truth of living out Jesus' love in action.
I am certain, he has been welcomed to the Kingdom beyond with the words, "well done, good and faithful servant ".

With love to his true and faithful love, Miriam, who walked alongside and shared with him the love of their good works together. 🩷

May he continue to guide us and inspire us in our work towards a day when Arachnoiditis no longer causes pain and suffering, and lives of those who have lost so much from it are restored to wholeness again.

Looking for a quick look at who we are, and what we do?
We are an international Arachnoiditis/Chronic Meningitis non-profit(and serving associated conditions like Tarlov, EDS, CSF leak ). We started as a 3 member group in 2016, (Lori Verton, Louise Carbonneau Vermeiren and Dr Terri Lewis) and incorporated as a non-profit in Canada in 2018.

We have grown exponentially since then! Our peer support program, education and global outreach and research programs have been 90% volunteer run since its inception! We are people/patient powered and funded by private donations and support from other Arachnoiditis related foundations and groups.

Today is Rare Disease Day!

If you live with Arachnoiditis, you know that "rare" usually means more than just a medical label. It often means feeling invisible, being misunderstood by doctors, or having to explain your symptoms over and over again.

At ACMCRN.org, we are working hard to change that. We believe everyone deserves to be seen and supported, no matter how rare their condition is.

We have a special page live for today and we would love for you to check it out. We even added some social media graphics you can download and share to help us raise awareness on your own pages!

How you can help today:

Check out our page and grab your share graphics: https://www.acmcrn.org/rare-disease-day

Support our mission with a donation: https://www.acmcrn.org/rare-disease-day-donation

Every gift helps us continue our work in advocacy, awareness, and research. Whether you can give a little or just share a graphic to help us spread the word, it makes a huge difference for our community. Let’s show the world that rare is actually everywhere.
