Helping women break free from the exhaustion of perimenopause so they can feel like themselves again.

10/15/2026

Perimenopause advice is EVERYWHERE. And honestly, it can be overwhelming.

One person tells you to take this supplement. Another says to avoid that food. Someone else swears there’s one thing every woman over 40 needs to be doing.

So how do you know what information to trust?

That’s exactly why I created Hot Flashes & Power Naps.

A day dedicated to helping women make sense of perimenopause, understand what’s happening in their bodies, and walk away with practical, evidence-informed strategies they can actually use.

We’re bringing together knowledgeable women’s health professionals to cut through the noise, answer your questions, and help you feel more confident navigating perimenopause, menopause and beyond.

Whether you’re just starting to notice changes or you’ve been navigating symptoms for years, this day is for you.

Perimenopause exhaustion + digestive issues after eating? Pay attention to this clue.

If you’re exhausted AND regularly dealing with bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea or discomfort after meals, I don’t want you to brush those symptoms off as unrelated.

Your digestive system plays a major role in breaking down food and absorbing the nutrients your body needs to make energy.

So when digestion isn’t working well, one of the questions worth asking is whether you’re actually digesting and absorbing what you’re eating effectively.

Eating a nutrient-rich diet is important.

But what you eat and what your body can actually digest and absorb aren’t always the same thing.

And this is exactly why I don’t automatically blame exhaustion in women 35+ on perimenopause.

This is Clue #1 in my Clues to Your Exhaustion series.

Follow Hollie | Perimenopause Fatigue Nutritionist because over the next few weeks I’m breaking down the clues I look for when a woman tells me, “I’m exhausted and I don’t know why.”

Next clue coming soon.

Perimenopause fatigue isn’t always just about hormones.

If you’re bloated after meals AND hitting a wall by 3pm, I’m looking at your digestion too.

Bile helps us digest and absorb fats and fat-soluble vitamins. When digestion isn’t working optimally, you may notice things like bloating, fullness after meals or changes in your bowel movements.

And if you’re not properly breaking down and absorbing the nutrients from your food, simply eating “healthier” might not be enough to fix your energy.

Your 3pm crash deserves a deeper look than another cup of coffee. ☕️

Follow for more on getting to the root of perimenopause exhaustion so you can get your energy back.

“I’m exhausted because I’m in perimenopause.”

This is the BIGGEST lie you could tell yourself.

And honestly, part of it avoids the actual necessity of change.

Perimenopause pulls back the curtain. It amplifies pre-existing problems. Sometimes, it does create new problems.

But your hormones just pulled the trigger. Something else loaded the gun.

What is the something else? It could be: low iron, poor gut motility, poor gall bladder function, congested liver, inflamed gut, lack of stomach acid, poor mitochondrial health, low thyroid function, issues with sulfation, overgrowth of gut bacteria, and so much more.

To blame your exhaustion on perimenopause just keeps you in the dark about what your body is actually asking for: support, healing and change.

Yes, perimenopause changes things in our body. But it’s our responsibility to listen to our body and respond to that change.

Follow for more honest perimenopausal exhaustion content.
