WE DO NOT CONTRACT OUT YOUR WORK TO OTHERS. Tree Pruning
Most trees require some pruning to regulate their size and shape. Pruning will help a tree establish a balanced framework and encourage the growth of healthy branches. As an added benefit, effective pruning reduces wind resistance and may prevent storm damage. Properly pruned trees and shrubs are also pleasing to the eye, healthier, and add equity to your home and landscape. Why should I prune my trees? The main reasons for pruning ornamental and shade trees include safety, health, and aesthetics. In addition, proper tree pruning can be used to stimulate fruit production and increase the value of timber. Pruning for safety involves removing branches that could fall and cause injury or property damage. Pruning for health involves removing diseased or insect-infested wood, thinning the crown to increase airflow and reduce some pest problems. Pruning can best be used to encourage trees to develop strong structures and reduce the likelihood of damage during severe weather. When should I prune my trees? Conifers can be pruned any time of year, but pruning during the dormant season may minimize sap and resin flow from cut branches. Hardwood trees and shrubs without showy flowers should be pruned in the dormant season to easily visualize the structure of the tree, to maximize wound closure, reduce the chance of spreading disease, and to discourage sap flow. Trees and shrubs that flower in early spring such as dogwood should be pruned immediately after flowering. Trees and shrubs that flower in the summer and fall should be pruned during their dormant season. Dead branches can be removed any time of year. Tree Removals
No one ever wants to lose a tree but removal is essential when a tree is dead, considered hazardous, or causing harm to surrounding trees. We will help you determine the condition of your tree and recommend the proper action. Consideration must be given to the structure of the tree, weight and size of limbs, proximity to adjacent structures and power lines, accessibility for heavy equipment, and most important, the safety of everyone involved in or around the operation. Removals are done using either our 60 ft. bucket truck or by climbing. We then safely rope each large limb and trunk section before slowly lowering them to the ground after the cut is made. Once the tree has been taken down, we will cut up, chip or haul off all debris leaving your property clean and safe. Our Clean Up Procedure
We will cut up, chip or haul off all debris leaving your property clean and safe avoiding at all costs damage to other trees, shrubs or flower beds. Except for the missing limbs or trees, you won't even know we were there. Whenever possible we deliver our wood chips free of charge to farmers and owners of livestock so that they can be of use to others rather than simply becoming landfill. We strive to observe low-impact environmental practices whenever possible. Our interest in arboriculture stems from a deep reverence for trees and their importance in our environment.
