Hatzic Elementary Parent Advisory Council A group for Parents of children attending Hatzic Elementary. See what’s happening at the school, volunteer opportunities and more.

PAC organized events raise much needed donations for causes in our school & in our community. We have built much needed internal programs such home reading, promoted healthy daily activities and developed a lunch program for our underprivileged kids. Some fundraising proceeds are also used towards partnerships for tuition donations to help kids in Thailand, and our annual gifts to the Canadian Ca

ncer and Diabetes Societies. Hatzic Elementary has an active parent group who make a huge difference in the lives of our students by being involved in our kid's education at home and at school. We are also fortunate to have a great Parent’s Advisory Committee that supports student learning and initiates fundraising for the identified needs and goals of our school. We created this page so parents can be further informed, to communicate programs and fundraisers and to increase dialogue about the important education of our kids. We thank you for your support and encourage you to participate with comments and feedback. Parental representation:
Parents should have the opportunity to express their views and have these taken into account on policy matters affecting the education of their children. All parents are members of the Parent Advisory Council at their child's school. The BC School Act recognises the vital role that parents play in supporting their children's learning by giving parents the right to belong to a parent advisory council in their school, and through it to advise the board, principal, and staff on any matter relating to the school. It aims to help parents to be:

Involved in their child's education and learning
Welcomed as an active participant in the life of the school
Encouraged to express their views on school education generally. These partnerships help all children become:

Successful learners
Confident individuals
Responsible citizens
Effective contributors.

Hello PACs and Families,

Albert McMahon Elementary is excited to be hosting the upcoming District Track & Field Meet on May 7-8th and PAC is running a concession stand to keep everyone fuelled and happy throughout the event!

To help keep things smooth for all our visiting schools, we’ve set up an online pre-ordering system for food and drinks:
https://albertmcmahonpac.square.site (https://albertmcmahonpac.square.site/)

Why pre-order?
Online orders help us plan quantities more accurately and ensure we don’t run out of key items. It also guarantees your child will have a hot lunch ready for them—only pre-ordered meals will be held aside.

Here’s what to know:
• The pre-order site is open now for all students and families attending the track meet from visiting schools.
• Hot lunch options include Panago Pizza and Hot Dogs.
• Hot food will be ready for pick-up starting at 11:15am at the clearly marked tent.
• Students will need to give the name the order was placed under.
• No refunds are available, so please remind students to pick up their orders.
• Make sure you’re ordering for the correct date (May 7th or 8th) depending on your school’s participation!
While online orders aren’t required, hot food purchased with cash the day of will be first come, first serve—so there’s no guarantee food will still be available later in the day.
If you have any questions or need help promoting it within your school, feel free to reach out. Online ordering available until May 5th
Looking forward to a great couple of days on the track!
