I have recently graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition and am currently on my way to becoming a Registered Dietitian. I am passionate about nutrition and believe it is the key to optimal health and wellbeing. I believe there is an overflow of nutrition information and pseudoscience out there, leaving people confused and unsure about what to eat, what not to eat,

what is healthy or unhealthy. I would therefore like to make a difference by providing simple, evidence-based nutrition facts on a daily basis to help people make healthier choices when it comes to food.

I’m dyslexic, so reading books has never been easy. I am extremely slow at reading and get distracted very easily. ⁣⁣⁣

Audiobooks and podcasts have changed my life. Last year I listened to 14 books using the app. I always listen to books while I get ready in the morning, get ready for bed at night, while I commute, while I edit photos, whille cooking... etc.They fly by!⁣⁣⁣

APPS I USE TO EDIT PHOTOS:⁣

–– Object removal app. Here I used it to remove the plate on the table and to clean up the wall on the right. ⁣

–– Great filters. I love the “vintage” filter and the “grain” tool. They also have video editing features.⁣

1 –– I use the whitening tool on this app. Yes, I whiten ALL my photos manually. I also love the “details” tool to outline plant leaves, eyelashes, and food. ⁣

–– I use this for basic retouching (brightness, contrast, saturation, ambiance) ⁣

Feeling the rainy day gloom?⁣

When you’re feeling anxious or low, take a step back, observe it, accept it and try to understand what triggers these feelings. Trying to push it away will only make it worse.⁣⁣⁣

Things that trigger anxiety/sad feelings for me are:⁣⁣⁣
- Lack of sleep⁣⁣⁣
- Rain/grey weather⁣⁣⁣
- Hangovers⁣⁣⁣
- Leaving loved ones⁣⁣⁣
- Pending visa/applications⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
How I deal with it: book a yoga or workout class (or 2 today 😂). It ALWAYS makes me feel better no matter what.

No matter what city I’m in, my days are all very similar. I have a consistent routine and flow. THAT’S the key to feeling stable and grounded despite constant change (which I LOVE). When I change country, it doesn’t take me any time to “adjust” to my environment. I dive right in. ⁣

I learned that you don’t need a stable home to feel stable and at home. ⁣It’s all about your mindset.

Happy Monday! ✨ Started my day off with a 7am barre class. Felt so good to go back to early morning classes. ⁣

I’ve been in a routine of waking up, working for a couple of hours and then doing a mid-morning or mid-day class... but I much prefer working out first thing. ⁣

Going to try to incorporate at least three 7am classes this week. 💪🏻

Montreal isn’t the best place for boutique fitness studios. They have tons of small yoga studios and a few spin studios but not much choice when it comes to dance cardio, pilates, boxing and other workouts. ⁣⁣

I have settled with — It is a gorgeous, super clean studio (I mean SUUPER clean — clean the changing room/bathroom every hour and you leave your shoes outside). ⁣⁣

My favorite class to take there is hot barre (perfect for winter) with my fave teacher 💗

I love going back to old favorite spots. It brings back so many memories. It’s crazy how your environment can have such a powerful effect on your mood and emotions. Being in Montreal just makes me so happy! Rain or shine. I’m so glad I made the spontaneous decision to come back here for a month 🙏🏻🍁🍂
