Starring at your computer all day? This might be for you!
If you suffer from headaches, light dizziness or have blurring or pain in the eyes from working at the computer for too long, massaging this point might bring a great release.
TaiYang is located at the temple, in the tender depression usually found when you run one finger from the exterior tip of the eyebrow and another at the corner of the eye, going towards the hairline. TaiYang is an ‘’extraordinary point’’ or ‘’extra point’’, which means it does not belong to a specific energy channel like other acupression points in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Rubbing, massaging or pressing this point activates Qi & Blood for better vision, eliminates Wind (dizziness) & clears Heat (red or dry eyes), reduces swelling & stops pain (bye bye headaches).
It’s not all! This point can also help reduce ringing in the ears and release clenched or painful jaws (from grinding teeth or trying to control anger).
It’s a very grounding and calming point and a lot of my patients almost fall asleep when I am working that area! It’s like an instant tension reliever :)
Try this on your next break and let me know how it worked for you!
