NEW SESSION: Chair Strength & Stretch 🪩


This chair-based class offers a variety of options for both beginner and advanced participants. Participants will have the opportunity to see progression throughout the duration of the 5 week session! Those participating can expect working toward improving: strength, mobility and balance. This class is perfect for beginners or for those who may benefit from slower, challenging movements.

This class offers the perfect blend of strength and mobility utilizing bands, light dumbbells and body weight!

Move with intention and join us for our upcoming session: May 26-June 25, Tuesdays & Thursdays from 1:15-2:15pm. We’ve once again expanded to TWO days per week to give you the option to attend twice weekly or choose a day that works best for you!

Being a part of each of our members’ unique wellness journey is an honour and a privilege! Nikki and Maria have officially graduated MamaBabe and it’s posts like this that remind us why we do what we do here at Studio Orange. Whether you’re a postpartum mama, new to exercise, finding yourself again, 55+, we are here to support you!

“A bittersweet last Mama Babe workout class for us today! We have spent the last 6+ months going to Studio Orange by Orange Door Collective Wellness 3 days a week.

Before Maria, I lost my way with exercise. And throwing postpartum complications in the mix, it was really hard to navigate and find the drive to exercise again (especially sleep deprived). These classes gave me purpose again, direction, motivation, encouragement. And it taught me that our bodies are incredible in how we grow life, give life, and recover while sustaining life.

I also got to meet some really great moms and watch our kids grow and learn together!

As your local Certified Pregnancy & Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist I am excited to be heading into year 5 of offering MamaBabe classes to our community!

Our classes run: Mondays & Wednesdays @ Studio Orange & Fridays outdoors for Stroller Sculpt 🪩

We welcome you to join us for our upcoming session in either the 9:30 or 10:30 slot. Our classes welcome women in all stages of motherhood and of course, your littles (and bigs) are welcome to attend!

Our workouts offer:

One of the most common things said after Somatic Movement is:

“I didn’t realize how much tension I was holding.”

Most of us are so used to pushing through discomfort that we don’t actually learn how to feel what’s going on in our bodies.

This work is different.

Instead of trying to stretch, strengthen, or fix the body from the outside, Somatic Movement starts by building awareness from the inside.

That’s what allows real, lasting change.

This 6-week series (May 13-June 17) focuses on the core and lower body — where a lot of held patterns begin — and works gradually to release layers of tension.

It’s a small group, so there’s space for guidance, questions, and support along the way.

Day 5- Your Pace

Are you moving through your day like you’re being chased by a bear?

Rushing. Tight.
Always onto the next thing, even when there’s no real urgency.

Your pace matters.

When you slow your movements,
your nervous system gets the message that you are safe.

Try this today:
Walk slower.
Speak slower.
Do one task at a time.

Because mindfulness isn’t about adding another task. It’s about changing how you move through the ones you already have.

Day 4- Connection🤍

Slow this moment down.

For moms of younger kids- As they play, notice the tiny details:
Their eyelashes.The way they move their hands.The sound of their voice when they’re excited.

For moms of older kids- It might not look like “play” anymore!
Maybe it’s a conversation in the car, a shared show, a quick check-in between their busy life and yours. Notice the small details: The way their expression shifts when they’re talking.
Their tone when they’re excited, or holding something back.
The rhythm of how they share (or don’t).

Let yourself be curious.
Like you’re seeing them for the very first time.

Because mindfulness isn’t just about calming your body,
it’s about deepening your experience of your life.

And these small moments?
They’re not small. They’re everything.

Presence is what turns ordinary moments into meaningful ones.
