I remember when I was younger and my dad would take me to Dairy Queen because he enjoyed the Banana Split😋

We would share this special treat served in a large paper boat dish- along with some great conversations😁

Little did we know or think about all the artificial flavouring, sugary syrups and processed dessert we were eating🤦‍♀️
We would leave the maraschino cherries 🍒 for last 😅

Only good n healthy ingredient was the fresh Banana🍌

Nowadays as a R.H.N. I enjoy healthier choices with less sugar and processing when going out for dessert!!

Still wanted to see if I could bring back that classic Banana Split recipe in a healthier version🤔

🍌Used 1 whole banana split in half
🍌Added - Cashew based dairy free ice cream(Cinnabon)
🍌Topped with thawed-frozen cherries and blueberries
🍌 Piped Greek yogurt on top of icecream, around bowl
🍌 Dusted with Cacao dark chocolate powder
🍌 Sprinkled with lightly roasted walnuts

Tasty alternative with wholesome ingredients:
Fiber, Antioxidants, Polyphenols, Vitamins and Protein!!

Sundays are the best time to prep healthy snacks for those on the go mornings 😅

These GF Blueberry mini bites pack in great nutritional ingredients:
✅ Gluten Free Flour
✅ Coconut sugar
✅ Super seed mix: H**p, Flaxmeal, Chia
✅ Baking Soda & Baking Powder
✅ Lemon Juice
✅ Raw Honey
✅ Vanilla Extract
✅ Eggs (optional)

Mix All ingredients and Add Fresh or Frozen Blueberries.
Stir well and add to mini greased (with coconut oil) pans
Bake for 20-25 minutes and Enjoy once cooled😋

These healthy morsels are packed with:
Fiber, Protein, Antioxidants, Vitamins C & K to fuel your busy week ahead!

Enjoy them fresh or store them in the freezer for later!!

Popped into a Chocolate & Gelato Shop in Aurora and saw the most beautifully, hand made chocolate and tasty gelato

🍫& 🍧check out: Chocolate & Company for some gourmet aelections😋

🍧There were many varieties of gelato and sorbet made fresh weekly or daily depending upon the demand😋

Loved to hear that the Dark chocolate creations were with minimum 70% cacao, hand made, dairy free and gluten free!

Having a piece of quality chocolate has so many benefits:
🍫 contains antioxidants that reduce inflammation
🍫 contains Polyphenols, may play a role in metabolism
🍫 supports heart health and cognitive function
🍫 rich in magnesium, potassium , iron and zinc
