Step-by-Step New Moon Ritual

To perform a cleansing ritual, follow these steps to prepare your space and mind:

1. Prepare the Space: Open a window or door to allow old energy and smoke to exit the room. Turn off electronics and find a calm, quiet spot.

2. Set Your Intention: Before lighting the wood, pause to decide what you want to release and what you wish to welcome in.

3. Light the Palo Santo: Hold a stick at a 45-degree angle over a flame for 30–60 seconds. Gently blow out the flame so the wood smoulders and releases fragrant smoke.

4. Cleansing Yourself: Waft the smoke around your body, starting at your feet and moving up to the crown of your head. Visualize any heaviness leaving your energy field.

5. Cleansing the Space: Move in a clockwise direction throughout your home. Pay special attention to corners, doorways, and mirrors where stagnant energy often gathers.

6. Close the Ritual: Place the stick in a fire-safe dish to extinguish on its own. Express gratitude for the new cycle and sit in stillness for a few moments to ground yourself.

Being a mom has been and is my greatest accomplishment and to honour my mom who taught me strength, courage and laughter, throughout my 15 years I had with her and who I know has continued to watch over and guide me, over the last 38 years, you are my inspiration. ❤️🌺
