Life is short.

Each day is a gift.

So, what if you could step out of your habitual ways of being and ask yourself, "What is the greatest expression of me that I could be today?"

Even if you are experiencing some sort of pain or discomfort in your life...and really, who isn't, right?

What can you appreciate?

What can you do that will feel good to you?

How can you be kinder to yourself, and thus to others?

Close your eyes...take a nice long breath...in and out...allow yourself to be here, in this moment...

Now gently, ask yourself, "How can I live the best possible version of my life today?"

What if you did this everyday?

Everyday will be different...

Our capacity will vary, according to what is happening in our lives, but we can still ask the question...

Make the most of the gift of your life, my friends.

Life can be very "lifey" at times, can't it?

It can seem almost impossible to step off the hamster wheel of all the things we feel we need to do, to say nothing of the hamster wheel running between our ears!

But in this moment, right now, just take a nice long relaxing breath, in and out, and ask yourself "What do I want to create more of in my life?"

Maybe you would like better health, or more free time to enjoy the things that you love.

Maybe you want better relationships, or a new career...whatever it is, you can't move towards creating it, if you don't ask yourself the question.

Turns out asking yourself different and BETTER questions is one of the most important steps in creating a better version of your life.

And the thing is, you are creating your life, all the time, whether you realize it or not!

You are a powerful creator, so why not consciously choose what you want, instead of running on default?

We have all experienced hurts in our lives.

But just because something unpleasant occurred in our past does not mean that our present days should be ruined.

The reality is that we become helpless when we give the person who hurt us excessive power over how we feel.

We step into our "victim" shoes.

But we don't have to keep doing this. It is possible to put on some different shoes.

And one of the most powerful ways that we can do this is to focus on what is GOOD in our lives.

We can choose to spend time and energy focusing on the beauty and love in our lives, to balance out the time we spend on holding onto grudges and our old stories.

Don't give the old hurts and stories an extended warranty.

Our life is a reflection of the quality of the questions we ask ourselves.

We all have neurological programming that we received in childhood. Some of it still serves us, and some of it doesn't.

But if we don't question things...the cyclical thought patterns, the beliefs, and the identities that we create for ourselves out of our experiences, then we keep repeating the same behaviours, over and over and OVER again.

And you guessed it, we keep getting the same results.

If you want something different in your life, you have to take different actions.

And that starts with asking different questions!

We all experience hurts and disappointments in our lives.

But the big question is, what do we do with them?

Do we let them rent a lot of space in our minds, and create our lives...our day-to-day experience, from those feelings?

You can learn to process those experiences and the emotional energy that they generate, and re-focus onto something that feels better.

Would you rather live and create your life out of anger and hurt, or gratitude and peace?

Seems like a no-brainer, right?
