What is it, and who it’s for ♥️‼️‼️

Open Decks is a practice space for new and aspiring DJs to learn, play, and connect. Bring your music (USB) or your own DJ equipment…. or practice mixing on our intro-level controllers (REV 1). Personal laptops, headphones and some DJ experience is recommended but not required 🌟

‼️ This is a CLOSED space for BLACK YOUTH & ADULTS to connect & chill‼️

Drop in for FREE between 5-9PM. Meet other young Black & Q***r DJs in the city! Often times with special guest facilitators from the Black DJ community 🙂‍↕️

A cozy, creative night of poetry, presence, and reflection. Whether you’re performing or just soaking it in, come bask in community and spoken word magic.

🎧 August 10 – DJ Basics @ The Grove
A beginner-friendly workshop for Black & Q***r youth to learn the art of DJing in a low-pressure, supportive space. No experience needed—just curiosity.

💿 August 15 – Open Decks @ Change Maker
A practice space for new and aspiring Black & Q***r DJs to test out sets, build skills, and connect. Gear provided (REV1 + CDJs), or bring your own.

☕ August 17 – Decks Ajar @ The Hub Café
A live open decks showcase featuring DJs from the Pass the Vibes fam and beyond. Sign up to play, or come through for matcha, music, and good company. Black & QTBIPOC-centered, open to all.
