I’m not here because I like working out… I’m here because I like you!” 😂

Honestly, I’ll take it.

Yes, we train hard and sometimes I may kick your ass a little… But this is about so much more than a workout.

It’s about feeling better in your body.
Doing up the jeans you thought would never fit again.
Becoming stronger than your excuses.
And learning to be a little kinder to yourself along the way.

You don’t have to love working out to begin. You just need the right support and a place where you feel comfortable starting.

A few daytime personal-training spots are available in St. George. Send me a message if you’d like one. 💪

A new 2026 review looked at 126 studies and more than 4,000 women — and found that women got stronger with resistance training both before and after menopause. Strength gains were comparable between the two groups.

So if you’ve been thinking you’re too old, too out of shape, or too late to start lifting… you’re not.

And you don’t have to figure it out on your own. I’ll meet you where you’re at, teach you how to lift safely, and support you as you build your strength and confidence.

Daytime training sessions available. DM me for details. 🤍

Strength training is powerful, but our muscles also need the building blocks to respond.

In a 12-week study of women aged 65+, researchers compared resistance training, an essential-amino-acid supplement, both together, or neither.

The strongest results came from combining both: greater improvements in muscle mass and physical fitness.

Important context: the study tested a supplement, not specific foods—and it doesn’t show that everyone needs one. Protein-rich foods also provide essential amino acids.

The practical takeaway?

Lift consistently.
Eat enough quality protein.
Make time for recovery.

Training provides the stimulus. Amino acids provide the building blocks.

This is why I love bringing nutrition and strength together in THRIVE Strong. If you’d like support learning how to lift, fuel and recover, send me a message.💪

New research in women found something interesting about protein … it may not just be how much we’re eating, but how we’re spreading it throughout the day.

Women who spread their protein more evenly ate fewer energy-dense snacks when they were offered them: 44 g vs. 62 g.

It’s a small study, but such a good reminder that sometimes it’s the little shifts that matter.

Don’t just count your protein. Look at where it’s landing. 🤍

And if you’re feeling a little lost with your nutrition and want some support figuring out what works for you, send me a message. I’d love to work with you.

We need to stop talking about muscle like it’s only an aesthetic goal.

A new 2026 systematic review and meta-analysis found that sarcopenia—loss of muscle mass, strength and function—was associated with a 42% higher risk of developing dementia. That does not mean that muscle loss causes dementia or that strength training can prevent dementia.

But it adds to a much bigger picture emerging in healthy-aging research:

Maintaining muscle and physical function matters.

For your mobility.
For your metabolic health.
For your independence.
And potentially as one piece of the much larger brain-health puzzle.

So when I encourage women to strength train, I’m not doing it because I think everyone needs to look a certain way.

I’m thinking about what you want your body to still be capable of doing at 60, 70, 80 and beyond.

Want to learn how to strength train—and understand WHY it matters? That’s exactly what we do in THRIVE Strong. 💪

THRIVE Strong is coming to St. George! 💪

If you’ve been following along with THRIVE Strong, I’m excited to now offer the same 8-week program in another location, with a daytime session.

THRIVE Strong combines education with guided strength training so you don’t just learn why building muscle matters — you actually learn how to do it.

We’ll talk about muscle, metabolism, blood sugar, hormones, bone health, recovery and more — and then put it into practice with 45 minutes of guided strength training each week.

No need to already know your way around the gym. This is a small group where you can learn, ask questions, build confidence and get stronger.

It’s never too late to get stronger.

This 2026 study looked at women 85+ and found that after 24 weeks of exercise, physical function improved.

I love this reminder because strength training is about so much more than how our bodies look.

It’s about staying capable. Carrying the groceries. Climbing the stairs. Getting up off the floor. Travelling. Playing with our kids and grandkids.

We build muscle now to support the life we want to keep living.

You are stronger than you think. 💪

08/15/2026

This is success.

Feeling stronger.
Feeling supported.
Trusting your body.
Nourishing it instead of fighting it.
Wanting to become healthier, not smaller.

This is everything. This is why I do what I do.
