Autumn is in the air and plans for fall are building and shifting. I’ve re-scheduled my first level reiki class from September to 16-18 October here on Pender Island. There is space for a couple more people. Sunflowers capture this end of summer energy for me!

This would be a lovely spot for a house…if it weren’t a park, but it is so hazy I couldn’t see any mountains and can’t recall what is there. I would want mountains!

Reiki self treatment on my deck surrounded by flowers, birdsong and trees. About twice a week I have been doing morning stretching and a fascia release sequence from Human Garage then a 35 minute reiki self treatment followed by an Epsom salt bath. The bath water is shared with my plants-they love it!
The fascia release really enhances the flow of reiki through areas that have been restricted. I noticed a significant difference in my sore foot after doing the full spinal fascia release.

My friend Kelly Kelly Dine made me a beautiful quilt and the backing fabric matches the flowers in my garden right now. Maybe it was my planting inspiration?
Friends are like flowers. They bring joy and color to our lives and when we tend them well they blossom, as do we ourselves.

Made up a mango strawberry fool dessert this weekend that was divine topped with elderflowers and served with palmiers with lemon curd spread.
I whizzed up a sliced mango and about half a cup sliced strawberries with some yogurt and a little orange simple syrup. This made a thick s**e which I folded into whipped cream with sliced sugared strawberries and some spoons of lemon curd. All went into a serving dish and I stuck palmiers spread at bottom edge with lemon curd all around like a great big flower. Sprinkled the top with single elderflowers and then garnished with some sprigs.
The following morning I made some pancakes topped with the remaining strawberries and cream to enjoy with coffee from my new mug from .pollard.gallery

Trying out the lemon balm and alyssum in pancakes today. Lovely. However I think they would taste even better cooked in a stainless steel pan. The lemon balm seems to react with the cast iron to create a slightly iron taste.
