I will never tell you to go home and rest after a treatment. 😉

Well now, it really doesn’t get much simpler than this does it.

At RAPID we are DEAD set against rest.

Your body needs movement to flush waste and swelling after injury.

As therapists we know the lymphatic system lacks a pump and requires muscular contraction to move. If you don’t move-neither does it.

And if it’s not moving, you’ll be sitting in a puddle of toxic waste and in certain extended suffering.

Movement also aids in reassuring your nervous system that you are still ok.

Immobilizing fear halts this and your cortical map can become blurred which can keep you in a state of extended injury.

Remember if you don’t use it-you lose it, and that is exactly what happens!

At RAPID we encourage movement and lots of it after injury, on our tables and then after treatment to ensure our patients are set up for success.

Allowing them or even encouraging them (God forbid), to avoid moving would reduce the success of our treatment-and guaranteed if you do this, you are reducing the success of yours.
