Is health important to you? Do you live on Salt Spring Island?
We need your voice!!
The last community health needs assessment for Salt Spring Island was completed in 2019. Since then, things have changed a lot. Salt Spring Island is a unique community with unique needs. Strong healthy public policy must be based on accurate and current data, so help us get that data!

To honour your time you can opt in at the end of the survey to a draw for a local gift card of your choice. There will be five offered, in the amounts of $300 (2), $200 (2), and $100 (1).

All data that we collect will be reported back to the community in the fall of 2026. To do this work the Salt Spring Health Advancement Network is supported by the CRD and PlanH, BC Healthy Communities fund.

What is SSHAN? We get this question often...

The Salt Spring Health Advancement Network (SSHAN) is a network of local organizations and community members working together to strengthen health and wellbeing on Salt Spring Island.

We don’t provide direct services....but what is really unique is how we, connect the people and organizations who do!

When services communicate and coordinate, our whole community benefits.

Having a community health network like SSHAN is super helpful in creating connection to best serve the community.
