Once again the Brussels Optimist Club has stepped up in a big way to benefit our community!

The Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation is incredibly grateful to be included in the $32,000 donation that was split equally between Seaforth, Clinton, Wingham and Listowel hospitals; each receiving $8000. This donation was made possible by the success of their spring dinner and auction.

Over the years, the Brussels Optimist Club has been highly active in running community-building events, the proceeds of which have touched the lives of nearly every member of their extended community through donations to local healthcare, youth sports and community projects.

From one volunteer organization to another, we sincerely thank you for your support! 💪💕

What a gift 💕

Through the generous donations of enthusiasm, time and money, this year’s Matt Huether Memorial Tournament raised $27,000 for the Seaforth Community Hospital emergency department.

This incredible donation is being used towards the purchase of a new Glidescope for our Seaforth Community Hospital. A Glidescope is a video scope that assists in safe intubation by providing a real-time, magnified view of the airway, which improves success rates and reduces complications due to its ease of use.

Donating approximately $27,000/year to the SCHF in the last 5 years, the Matt Huether Memorial Tournament funds have purchased:

Zoll Defibrillator
Disinfection Unit for Ultrasound Probes
ED Tornado and Slit Lamp
Cardiac Monitor
Glidescope

These generous donations highlight the collective might of a small community coming together in fun and sport for a great cause 💪💙

The Seaforth Community Hospital Foundation is deeply grateful to the Seaforth Homecoming committee for the generous donation toward the purchase toward a Vein Finder.

The Vein Finder will be used in both the Emergency Department and the inpatient unit of the Seaforth Community Hospital. A Vein Finder provides more comfortable, precise and efficient insertions for IV's. This piece of equipment will enhance patient care and experience….and is a tool almost all of us can appreciate the value of!

Our friends at ONE CARE Home & Community Support Services are looking for volunteers for their Meals on Wheels program in Seaforth!

Whether you're looking for a meaningful way to spend your lunch break, or if you have an hour or two to spare between 11:30am and 12:30pm during the week, help be the reason why someone is able to stay independent at home.
