Why use a toner?

💚 Most of you have probably h e a r d of using a toner as part of your skincare routine, but statistically, this is a step lots of people skip. Here’s why you should be using a toner after cleansing instead of jumping right into your serums and moisturizer:

Toners…
- Restore the hydration balance of your skin post cleansing
- Remove any remaining cleanser or makeup
- Remove mineral residue from tap water
- Prep your face for application of serums and moisturizers

When was the last time you washed your make-up brushes? ✨

If it’s been a while, we’re here to tell you that it’s probably time. Cleaning your brushes is super easy, quick, and worth doing—you do NOT want to leave all the bacteria, dead skin, and product trapped in the brushes to fester and grow. Your brushes are an investment; a tool that goes beyond makeup and can impact your skin. They’re worth taking care of to ensure longevity, cleanliness, and functionality.
We recommend cleaning your brushes every one to two weeks. You can do this in a few different ways, but some easy options are to use shampoo, or, if you have one, a foaming facial cleanser. Choose products that are natural and non-toxic. When you’ve prepped your brushes and cleanser of choice, begin by dampening your brush, and then apply a small amount of cleanser. After that, it’s as simple as lathering the brush before rinsing with lukewarm water! (TIP: Don’t use hot water, it can dry out the bristles AND loosen the glue holding the brush together). Wash until the water runs clear—you might be surprised how much hidden product has built-up. After your brush is completely rinsed, air dry laying flat on a clean towel. And that’s it! Clean makeup brushes, happy skin, and smoother makeup application await 💚
