A great weekend back in Baker Lake, NU, and bringing up my nephew Connor to meet the kids.
Always good to get home, see old friends and staff.
Our 2nd Annual John Ray Mariq Memorial Tournament was a great success, & good FUN!!
U16, U19, and Adult Open Divisions for singles and doubles. Great to see all my former students, young and old. A huge warm welcome at the arena was a nice surprise.... "We are... Baker Lake" - loud & proud!
Many great donations and gear for the kids....
35 racquets, 30 pairs of shoes, 40 tubes of shuttles, medals, free shirts, stickers, and water bottles to all. Tonns of snacks and Gatorade to keep bellies full.

Special Thanks to: BLCS, Arctic Fuel, Hamlet of Baker Lake, BLYAA, Nunavut Badminton Association, Victor Racquets, Piruqsaijit, Agnico Eagle, Spiritwear, PEL, Kirsten/Kayden/Tootoo family and friends that help organize, and the community of Baker Lake. 🏸❤🏸

I encourage fellow P.E. teachers to attend the National P.E. Conference when you get a chance! Saskatoon, you hit it out of the park. Great to get back.
Ran into former co-workers from Sturgeon Lake, SK by accident, great to catch up face to face after 14 years removed.
Always great to reconnect with some MB PE friends.
My presentation on Arctic Sports was very well recieved, wish I had more time.
