🐝INTRODUCING (and re-introducing) a true Healthy Hearts OG… ARISSA!🐝
Some staff intros are exciting… and some feel like *fate.* This one is the second kind.
Arissa and I have shared a camp love for what feels like a lifetime. I’ve had the absolute privilege of knowing her since she was in her early teens — and then I became her Leadership Director when she stepped into those big LIT / young leader years (16/17-ish). I watched her grow into the kind of human you *want* your kids to learn from: capable, kind, grounded, fun, and full of heart.

Then life did what life does… I had my own kiddos, took a short break, and came back stronger than ever — by launching Healthy Hearts, Healthy Minds when my kids were just 2 years old. And want to know who my first staffing call was?
Yep. Arissa!!
After a few incredible years with us, Arissa stepped into the professional world of insurance, met the love of her life, got married — and through it all, we stayed connected. She continued showing up as alumni staff, volunteering at events and retreats, and staying woven into our community.

And then… 8 years later… she said what we both already knew: something was missing.
That void? CAMP.
The stars aligned, the timing was perfect, and in a conversation that felt like a full-body YES… we knew camp is exactly where she needs to be — and exactly who camp needs on our Senior Staff Team.

As of the beginning of May, we are over-the-moon excited to welcome Arissa back… not just for summer… but as a FULL TIME staff member! Arissa will be joining us as the LIT Director and Assistant to the Director for our Summer months and the Lead of our afterschool
programs beginning in the fall!!

If you already know and love her, get ready for so much more quality time together. And if you haven’t met her yet… buckle up. Your Healthy Hearts experience is about to get that much more joy-explosive.
