There are moments when words feel inadequate, and this is one of them.
With heavy hearts, the THRIVE Board of Directors extends our deepest condolences to the families, friends, classmates, and loved ones of the four young people whose lives were tragically lost in the collision near Winnipeg Beach on September 6.
This heartbreaking tragedy has touched countless people across our region and has been felt especially deeply in our community, where three of these youth attended school in Teulon. Their lives mattered, their futures held endless possibilities, and their loss leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved them.
As a community, we mourn alongside their families and friends. We share in the sorrow of those facing unimaginable grief and hold them close in our thoughts during this incredibly difficult time. We also recognize the impact this loss has on classmates, educators, neighbours, and all whose lives were touched by these young people.
In times of tragedy, we are reminded of the importance of community, compassion, and supporting one another. May those who are grieving find comfort in the love of family and friends, strength in the memories they cherish, and hope in knowing they are surrounded by a caring community.
