Afghanistan: Pathways to Peace

Afghanistan: Pathways to Peace Education to Female (Edu2Fem) AGCC is based on the recognition that working with women is insufficient to change the lives of Afghan women.

Women in villages are more isolated and vulnerable than women in cities. AGCCs provide rural women, many of whom are in remote locations, with access to information about the world outside their communities. It teaches them about their rights and roles in a democratic society. It also helps them find ways to earn incomes for themselves and their families. AGCC’s goal is to have Afghan women exerci

sing their democratic rights and responsibilities. To reach this goal, they must understand their roles in Afghan society, have access to health care information and services, and gain a degree of economic self-sufficiency.
