A moderately hilly, circular route with a mix of off-road sections. Wear comfortable walking shoes with good grip.

☀️ Sunny Lightweight clothing, hat, sunglasses & sunscreen.
🌧️ Rain Waterproof jacket and quick-drying clothing.
🌬️ Windy Add a wind resistant layer.
❄️ Cold Warm layers, gloves, hat & suitable footwear.
🌤️ Cool Dress in light layers with a jacket.

🌿 Along the route The area includes Guildwood Park, the Guild Inn, South Marine Park, the Scarborough Bluffs and the Doris McCarthy Trail.
The route's hills and descent toward the lake make footwear particularly important.

👟 Toronto Waterfront 10K Walk — Osgoode → Ontario Place

A mostly flat, scenic 10 km urban waterfront route with a mix of city streets, paved waterfront paths and pedestrian-friendly sections. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water.

☀️ Sunny: Lightweight clothing, hat, sunglasses & sunscreen.

🌧️ Rain: Waterproof jacket and quick-drying clothing.

🌬️ Windy: Add a wind-resistant layer. The waterfront gets exposed to strong winds.

❄️ Cold: Warm layers, gloves, hat & suitable footwear.

🌤️ Cool: Dress in light layers with a jacket.

🌿 Along the route: Enjoy some of Toronto’s best-known waterfront sights, including Osgoode, Toronto Union Station, Harbourfront, Fort York, Coronation Park, Exhibition Place, Ontario Place and Lake Ontario.

📍 Route: Osgoode → Downtown Toronto → Union Station → Harbourfront → Fort York → Ontario Place

📏 Distance: 10 km

🚶 Difficulty: Easy to moderate

⏱️ Estimated walking time: About 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on your pace and stops.

🌤️ Cool Light layers with a jacket you can remove.

🌿Along the route Sawmill Valley Trail follows Sawmill Creek and includes forested surroundings, with a mix of paved paths, boardwalks and packed dirt sections. The City of Mississauga also notes opportunities for wildlife spotting and birdwatching. City of Mississauga

⚠️ Important The City currently reports a partial closure of the Sawmill Valley Trail between Erin Mills Parkway and Burnhamthorpe Road West, with a detour in place. Check current trail conditions before walking. City of Mississauga

Dress for the weather and, most importantly, wear comfortable walking shoes.

🌬️ Windy Add a windproof layer conditions around Lake Ontario can feel cooler.
❄️ Cold Dress in layers with a warm hat, gloves and suitable footwear.
🌤️ Cool days Light layers and a jacket you can remove if needed.

🌿 Along the route Enjoy views around Gibraltar Point, the Toronto Island shoreline, beaches and the historic Gibraltar Point Lighthouse.

10.5 km dress comfortably, take water, and enjoy the walk! 👟💙

Walking can support heart health, improve mood, build strength and balance, and help your body manage blood sugar. You don’t need a perfect routine start with a short walk, take the stairs, or walk with a friend.
