I don't know who needs to hear this but get rid of your hair extensions!

For 14 years, I had hair extensions. 14 years. I had everything from sewn-in weaves, clip-ins, tapes, and fusions. I could not imagine leaving the house without them. To me, it was like going out the door without shoes on.

Looking back and thinking about the money I spent, the damage I inflicted on my hair and scalp- it was not worth it! When lockdown started, I was TERRIFIED. I didn't know how to install tape-in hair extensions. This forced me- literally forced me to accept my hair and pushed me to work with what I got.

One and a half years later, with no hair extensions, minimal heat damage (other than a blow dryer), and minimal products, my hair has grown from my shoulders to here.

If I had ONLY LISTENED to my friends back then telling me I didn't need them, my hair would have been so much healthier and the length I had been aiming for, the last 14 years.

So here I am, embarrassingly admitting my old hair extension obsession in hopes that it helps you- girl- get rid of em'!

(But, like super fun for special occasions 😉)
