Things that do help:

Eating enough food during the day
Letting go of mentally restricting food
Making peace with all foods
Working on your body image

If overcoming binge eating and feeling more calm around food is your goal, turning to more diets and restrictive habits is not the answer.

With clients, I help them…
✅Balance out their day of eating
✅Improve their connection to hunger/fullness signals
✅Address the mental restriction holding them back
✅Build up their nutrition knowledge from a place of self compassion

You can go through your day not feeling controlled by food. Let’s do it together 👏

Tis the season for healing your relationship with food 🎄

Holiday fear tactic marketing is in full force y’all.

You do not have to beat yourself up for what you eat this season, or punish yourself with a restrictive diet in the new year.

You deserve to be nourished and enjoy the holidays (in whatever way that means to you) without the dark cloud of food guilt and ‘new year new me’ messaging hanging over you.

Take a different path and heal your relationship with food this time around. Link in bio to book and appointment to get started.

Long weekend (or any weekend) reminder 🦃

The cycle of trying to do ‘good’ and then making it to the evening or weekend and ‘screwing up’ is a vicious one.

But you won’t break out of that cycle of binging if you keep going back to restricting or punishing yourself.

Break out of that cycle, and be able to actually enjoy your holidays with family, by healing your relationship with food.

Society is body-focused, and this creates harm.

Society has normalized body compliments and comments of ‘concern’ when someone’s body size changes visibly.

This is problematic for multiple reasons and can be incredibly harmful.

We never know what someone else is going through.

When we compliment a thinner body, it implies that their previous body was not worthy of positivity.

I’ve had clients at the height of their eating disorder receive ‘compliments’ on their body size, which only fuelled the ED more.

We can try harder to connect with people and look beyond their body.

Send to someone who needs to hear this 😆

Repeat after me:
My body deserves food every day.
No matter what I ate yesterday.
No matter how busy I am today.
I deserve to be nourished.

☕️Even if you put cream and sugar in your coffee or get a fancy Starbucks drink, you still need food.

Let’s start building that trust back with your body and help your body trust you again.

Heal your relationship with food & learn how to nourish your body without the guilt 🙌

Shift the focus this summer season ☀️

As we get closer to summer, diet marketing usually gets louder and louder.

It can be so hard to not get caught up in feeling like if you aren’t actively working to lose weight, you aren’t ‘doing enough’.

🧡But taking care of yourself can happen in so many different ways.

You are enough right now. You deserve to enjoy the warmer weather without feeling pressured to look a certain way before doing so.

What is something you are looking forward to this summer? 🌻

Here’s your pre-Easter-family-meal-weekend words of encouragement 🐣

Take what you need for yourself. You deserve to enjoy your weekend, food and all.

Remind others if they also need it, or use these phrases to set gentle boundaries around the topics people talk about in your space.

If anxiety, stress, and guilt around food make you dread holidays and family time, this may be a sign your relationship with food is not great.

Get support to heal your relationship with food to allow yourself to be fully present in your life.

Link in bio to get started on that.
