There are some similarities between Maoshan Taoism and Reiki in terms of their use of energy, or "qi". Maoshan Taoism is one of the ancient Taoist sects in China that emphasizes the cultivation of inner alchemy and the use of energy to achieve balance and harmony. Maoshan disciples learn how to perceive, guide, and utilize energy through specific rituals, spells, and practices to promote the healt
h and development of body, mind, and spirit.
💫Reiki, on the other hand, is an energy healing technique originating from Japan. It involves the transmission of universal energy, also known as "ki" or "qi", to the recipient through gentle touch or hovering hands over the body. Reiki aims to promote energy balance, relieve stress, and facilitate relaxation and natural healing of the body and mind. Although there are some similarities between Maoshan Taoism and Reiki, they have different backgrounds, techniques, and belief systems. Maoshan disciples are more immersed in Taoist philosophy, spells, and rituals, while Reiki is an independent energy healing modality. Whether I am a Maoshan disciple or a Reiki Master, I hope that I am able to continue to use energy to help myself and others achieve balance and well-being in body, mind, and spirit!
