Let your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more
Thank you for interest in the screening of “Changing the Game Behind the Scenes”. This documentary is focused on highlighting the lessons learned during the Jane and Finch Way research project. Together the youth and the mentors created skits to share their stories and experiences of mental health, education, identity, employment, and the justice system.
Through their stories, you will have a chance to hear about their lived experiences first-hand and the research that was done throughout the project. Stay tuned!
Jane Finch Way (JFW) is a collaborative, bi-weekly mental health project between York University’s Faculty of Education, Black Creek Community Health Centre (BCCHC), Educare Selfcare Studio and the Learning Beyond Adversity (LBA) Program.
Funded by Ontario Health, the program is meant to understand issues that affect the mental health of Black and Brown youth and how to use the lessons learned from the program to inform mitigation strategies.
