Our Story — Why Jane & Thunder Exists
It started in a kitchen.
Not a fancy lab. Not a production facility. A kitchen — kids running circles around my feet, a God-given dream I couldn’t shake, and a problem nobody had solved yet.
My name is Courtney Jane, and I founded Jane & Thunder in 2016 because my family needed something that simply didn’t exist.
We Needed Safe. So I Made Safe.
At 18 years old, my body changed overnight. I developed a life-threatening anaphylactic soy allergy — out of nowhere, no warning, no explanation. Suddenly I was that person. The one reading every label, carrying an EpiPen everywhere, calling restaurants before ordering, and praying over every product before it touched my skin.
Finding allergy-free, organic wellness and beauty products that were actually safe for me? Was impossible. It didn’t exist.
Then my son Tytan was born — and at just 2 months old, we discovered he had 20 different allergies. Twenty. This tiny, perfect baby couldn’t tolerate almost anything.
A few years later, our daughter arrived — and at 2 months old, history repeated itself again. Eight severe allergies. Eight things that could hurt my brand new baby girl.
Every product that touched their skin, every ingredient that entered our home — all of it had to be vetted, sourced, and made from only the cleanest, purest ingredients on earth. There was no “close enough.” There was only safe, or not safe.
So I got to work.
Then God Showed Up — Three Times - Medical miracles
Here’s where the story gets really good.
Jesus healed us. All three of us.
Tytan outgrew all 20 of his allergies. Our daughter was prayed over at church at just 10 months old — and walked away completely free of all 8 severe allergies. A miracle, plain and simple.
And me? I was healed too. My soy allergy that showed up at 18 and ruled my life for years — gone. A total miracle I will never take for granted and will never stop talking about. A really great story about forgiveness and repenting- I’ll share it sometime.
God is so good in his mercy for us and
It healing came with a calling.
I made a promise: even after we were healed, I would keep going. Because millions of families are still where we were. Still searching. Still reading labels in grocery store aisles with their hearts in their throats. Still desperate for natural, allergy-safe, toxin-free products that actually work and actually care about what’s inside them.
They deserved better. You deserved better.
We Built What Didn’t Exist
Before Jane & Thunder, there was no wellness and beauty brand in the top ten built specifically around allergy-safe, organic-ingredient formulas for the whole family. That space was empty.
So we filled it.
From our organic body butters to our natural supplements to our allergy-conscious skincare — every product is held to the same non-negotiable standard I set for my own kids. No fillers. No junk. No ingredients I can’t stand behind. Just clean, effective, small-batch wellness products made by a mama who has lived this and genuinely cares.
Still Small. Still Family. Still Here.
Jane & Thunder has grown so much since those early kitchen days — but the heart has never changed. We are still a small, family-run Canadian/American wellness brand. I am still the one behind every formula, every decision, every product that leaves our door.
