You can feel it on the wind
As the Veil thins and the
Old ones gather
Concern on their faces
And tears in their eyes
For they know this coming
Storm only too well
Lived through it
Lifetime after lifetime
Since the dawning of time
And the advent of humans

They’ve seen how the divisions come
How they destroy what is good
The faces on the trees know and
There is sadness in their bones as
They send their roots deeper into
The Mother

They too feel the thinning of the Veil,
As the Veil Walkers gather to speak
Their concern to those who will listen,
As the trees shelter the ancestors, fairies,
Elementals, the unseen ones, the animals,
All who use them for shelter, food, comfort

The trees feel what is coming, as do I
The ancestors gathered right now just
Barely beyond the Veil, Watching, Waiting,
Hoping, but with grave concern for
How humans will ultimately respond

You can feel it on the wind –
Fear
Anxiety
Anger
Sadness
Confusion
Illusion
Delusion
Indifference
Too much difference

And no one, it seems, has a clue how
To right the wrong that exists or how to
Shift the energies that hint at the idea
That no matter the outcome it will not be over

The Veil Walkers are holding space for us,
Watching, listening, waiting
Ready to offer solace and wisdom
If only we allow ourselves to feel them
To know them
To listen

You can feel it on the wind
But will you/we/I pay attention
Before the blanket of darkness
Completely covers the light,
Before the fires burn all that is
Good Before...
Before...
Before...

For without this Before that holds
A miniscule moment in time,
That holds the possibility of tomorrows
And tomorrows and even more,
The After will come riding in on the
Storm of apathy and disbelief, disinformation,
Lies upon lies upon lies bringing with them
A blanket of darkness

There is a moment in time
The Veil now already thins
But only a moment

So, call in the Warrior Goddesses,
Both those of myth and real life,
Queen Boudicca of the Iceni
The Amazons from the Caucasas Steppes
The Morrigan – Morrigu, Badb and Macha
Kali
Erishkigal
Lilith
Durga on her Tiger
Sekhmet with her Lion
Bast with her Panther/Jaguar
All the peoples of today who
Have said enough is enough
And volunteer, march, protest
And teach the children well

There is still work to be done
Whisper the voices on the wind,
Still prayers to be said
Altars to be created now
And even after the will
of the people is certified

Until that time comes
Until that time is over
Do not rest in complacency
For the good fight
Is still being fought
And the loser will not
Go gently into the good night*

This is for all of us. Angie’s work is magical and reawakening.

Let me tell you something
you already know
but forgot
not because you’re foolish
but because forgetting
is part of being born.

You are not just flesh and name.
You are not just the sum
of your longings
or the things they took from you.

No.

You are a sky full of stars
wearing a skin of forgetting.
And somewhere
behind your eyes
a constellation is still moving.

Not dead light.
Lving light.

Stars that burn with stories
you haven’t told yet.
Stories your bones remember
but your tongue can’t quite shape.

Because this isn’t a modern thing.
This isn’t Instagram wisdom
or page-turning poetry.
This is older than fire.
This is when the first human
cupped their hands to the night
and heard their own blood
answer the silence of the stars.

You are that.

You are the drop
that remembers it is ocean.
The wave that knows
the gravity of the moon
before science gave it a name.

And you?
You are a constellation of soul
not stitched from comfort
but forged in loss
in laughter
in longing.
You were made from stories
that began before you
and will echo long after.

A thousand ancestors
blow through your lungs
when you sigh.
They walked with bare feet
on wet earth
and now you carry their fire
in your belly.

You think you’re lost?
That you’ve strayed from the path?
Darling, you are the path.
The forest listens when you walk.
The crows speak your name
when you weep without knowing why.

You are not broken.
You are becoming.

And deep inside
beyond the grief
beyond the wound
beyond the questions
that have no clean answers
a supernova hums.
A star that never went out.
It’s not looking to be healed.
It’s looking to be spoken.

So speak.
Speak with your walk.
Speak with your tears.
Speak with the way you love
what cannot be tamed.

And remember
you are not here to be safe.
You are here to be true.
And the universe?
It is not a thing you look at
from a distance.
It is the firelight inside you
when you finally say
yes.

girl. we gotta talk.
summer is coming
and it’s time to lose
some weight.
my advice? start with
shedding the pounds
of other people’s
expectations
then slim down those
weighty thoughts
of right and wrong
good and bad
too much and not enough.

while you’re at it
how ‘bout you
trim the bulk of
what you thought
you had to become
in order to be lovable
and worthy ?

loose those unshed tears
you are drowning
in their weight.

purge the unforgiveness
it is poisonous ballast
and you’re too cute
for that s**t.

starve the shame
the time has come
its hot heavy presence
is crushing your wings
and scorching your
confidence.

toss off anything
that no longer fits:
jeans, bras, shapeware,
relationships,
tattered beliefs
and worn out thoughts
about your
unbelonging

you wanna lighten up?
then light the f**k up
your smile, your dreams
your joy, your self-permission
and unapologetic pleasure.

you want that
summer swag?
you wanna be
fit for life?
start loving who you are
and be done with
all the rest.
