Are you familiar with the Lymphatic system?
The lymphatic system is like a giant drainage system that runs throughout our entire body. It is made up of lymph nodes, lymph ducts, and lymphv essels, which produce and transport a fluid called Lymph from our tissues and into our blood stream.
One of the most important functions of the Lymphatic system is to drain the body of waste, toxins, bacteria and viruses that would otherwise makeus feel like JUNK. Some signs your lymphatic system is congested include:
- Feeling puffy or swollen
- Frequently Bloated
- Constipation
- Fatigue and brain fog
- Weight gain / excess belly fat
- Dry or itchy skin
- Swollen glands
- Low immunity or swollen glands
- Skin issues – rashes, acne, dry/itchy skin
(to name a few)
The lymphatic system is the only system in the body that doesn’t actually have it’s own pump, which means that we need to manually stimulate it in order to get it moving. A few ways to do this include:
- Dry brushing
- Hot / cold showers
- Rebounding on a trampoline
- Leg on the wall yoga pose
- Epsom salt baths
With clients dealing with Lymphatic stagnation (which is often the case with gut imbalances), I like to use additional support like the Lymphrdial drops by Pascoe. These drops are GOLD!
