I’ve spoken about this on one of my podcast before: Most people book vacations instead of retreats, because we need a break but most vacations aren’t actually that relaxing!

I know for me, especially going with my kids, it is more of a relocation than a vacation. And most people find it difficult to shut things off even if you are by a pool for a full five days without any kids around.
In fact, many of my clients come home from a vacations more exhausted than when they left!

on the other hand, a retreat has a specific intention for its guests — it’s about you pausing your daily routine, taking the time to rest, the space to slow down, awakening your soul, connecting with other, and finding perspective.

let’s not forget, the beautiful location, accommodation, the nourishing food, the workshops and activities — centered around the shared goals of you and the other women attending.

This is just one aspect of the long lasting and impactful benefits of going on a retreat. ❤️

I was never one who dreamt of being a mom one day. I think having a rough childhood never inspired me to want to raise kids of my own… but having kids has beyond my imagination. Not that it’s easy to be a parent but I’m so in love with these little humans I get to guide in this lifetime. Every time I’m with my kids, Every time we talk, Every time they’re with me, my heart explodes. My life is infinitely better with them in it.

As women age, they tend to lose muscle mass and gain body fat, which can lead to a slower metabolism and an increased risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain types of cancer. This is why it's important for women over 40 to focus on fat loss rather than just the number on the scale.

Losing body fat through exercise and proper nutrition can help to preserve muscle mass, increase metabolism, and improve overall health and quality of life. However, it's a mistake to solely focus on weight loss without considering body composition. This is because muscle is denser than fat, meaning that a person can lose body fat while gaining muscle mass, which may not be reflected in the number on the scale.

Therefore, it's important to also consider body composition when focusing on fat loss. This can be done by measuring body fat percentage, which is a more accurate indicator of progress than weight alone. Increasing lean muscle mass through strength training, for example, can help to improve body composition and overall health, even if the number on the scale doesn't change much..

Wrote a blog last week after a new client listed out several things that were 🚩 red flags as to why she’s not getting any success in her fitness progress or her goal to shed body fat. What I was reminded of is that 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞!

So many women 40+ think that what might have worked once as a teen or in their 20s actually hinders your success as a grown women.
