Our team with your very generous support was able to raise over $8K for little children living away from comfort of their homes at Ernestine's Women's Shelter. We Thank you and appreciate the love and donations received from each one of you. Together we make a difference and together we bring a smile to each child at the shelter.

He calls all sort of bad names
He slaps my face.
He flirts with other women
He kicks me on the floor
Tells the world that I’m the best but yet beats my brain that can never rest.

I love him so much,
So I don't have the strength
To walk right out the door.

Everything hurts,
And all I can do is cry.

I made him mad,
So this is what he does.
I wish I knew his reason why.

My heart won't let me leave him,
And it hurts too much to try.

I wonder if this is how my life will be
From now until I die.

He says he's sorry.
He takes me in his arms.
He even starts to cry.

I tell him I forgive him
And that everything is fine.

For now at least because I know
It will happen again in time

COVID Challenges continues to impact day to day at the shelter with a rise in self isolation and loneliness.
I Am Behind you team will not stop and is taking all the measures to offer great remote sessions to women, teens and families living at the shelter.
We offered many virtual group programs in past 6months helping these families deal with financial implications, self care and remote employment opportunities.
We will be holding our virtual holiday event and looking for volunteers to help us with following:

Guest speakers to join our remote sessions
Gift Cards for essential stores
New warm clothing - jackets, boots, gloves, blankets
New toys for kids under age 13
Electronics for kids over 13
New -Any house hold items

Another great session offered by our youth group to promote holistic growth. Big Thanks to Aroosh for leading this workshop and helping moms living at Women’s shelter learn importance of academic & soccer clubs, how parents can help kids stay focused while youth build emotional intelligence. It’s always great when these young kids take the lead and share personal stories and promote experiential learning.
