Inhaling smoke of any kind can be harmful to lung health, but there is still little information on the long-term impacts of smoking cannabis on the lungs. The goal of the CANUCK study is to gain more information about the effect of cannabis smoking on the respiratory health.

Study participants will be seen once a year for 3 years to monitor changes to their lung health over time.

If you smoke cannabis, to***co, or do not smoke at all, you may be eligible to participate in this study. If you are interested, please contact [email protected] or visit canuckstudy.com for more information.

Common lung disease testing like breathing tests don’t always show damage in the small airways of the lungs, where many lung diseases start. New technologies, like chest MRI using hyperpolarized gas, can reveal changes in these small airways that can explain lung symptoms that people experience.

The CANUCK Study is looking at the impact of cannabis smoking on the lungs by using chest MRI to detect these small airway changes that may occur. MRIs of people who smoke cannabis will be compared to those who smoke to***co and those who don’t smoke at all.

If you currently smoke cannabis, smoke to***co ci******es, smoke both cannabis and ci******es, or you do not smoke either substances, you may be eligible to participate in this research. If you are interested, you can learn more at the link in the bio or email [email protected]
