I've learned to not negotiate with emotional terrorists. The best reaction is to starve them with silence! When you're calm, it makes you the most powerful person in the room. Don't let emotions override your capacity to make sound decisions. When you're clear of mind, you have the capacity to see the big picture. I was not always like this — I used to be such an angry person. I always had to get the last word in because I thought that was power. I have been wrong! Often times, "saying nothing" is seen as weak or "I can't believe you let them speak to you that way" -- in the moment, the best reaction is calm. Because the other person wants you to fight with them so they can drain your energy. Silence becomes a weapon! 🛡️🗡️
