Find Your Joy Friday

ME Time May is almost over. And wow… what a month. Thousands of conversations about midlife intimacy, self-care, lubrication, moisturizers, vi*****rs, comfort, confidence… and yes, "Me Time" too.

One thing we hear often?

MYTH: Me time is just for younger women.

FACT: Many women tell us self-touch becomes more important in midlife and menopause.

Why? Because hormones change. Bodies change. Sensation can change. Exploring what feels good, with curiosity instead of pressure, can help women reconnect with their bodies, support blood flow, comfort, and confidence. No shame. No age limit.

And speaking of ME time…Our ME Boxes have been one of our biggest successes this year. Midlife women have been loving the simple formula: Hydrate. Lubricate. Vibrate.

But like May, they won’t last forever. The ME Box disappears when May ends.

So if you’ve been thinking about a little more comfort, support, or yes… a little more you time, this is your gentle nudge. Find your joy. Your way.

That dry, irritated, almost sandpaper feeling? Too many midlife women know exactly what we’re talking about.

For us, creating Okanagan Joy started with one simple question: Why was finding a lubricant that actually felt good, lasted well, and didn’t leave us feeling sticky, irritated, or disappointed… so hard?

Okanagan Joy was made to help reduce friction. Because friction is not your friend when things already feel dry, sensitive, or uncomfortable.

Water-based. Plant-powered. Made in Canada by women, for women. Because intimacy shouldn’t feel like sandpaper. ❤️

“Say the word vagina.”

Maria Wu is here to challenge the stigma around women’s bodies, language, and sexual health.

In this powerful seminar, Redefining Women’s Health: Inclusion, Identity & Empowerment, she explores what inclusive, respectful healthcare should actually look like, and how women and gender-diverse people can advocate for the care they deserve.

Because shame should never be part of healthcare.

And knowing the words for your own body? That matters more than we’ve been taught. Watch the seminar through the link https://youtu.be/jdki2SgoZMg?si=FBVPo5R57lLFamo4

Real talk for a second. If ordering a vaginal moisturizer, lubricant, or toy has ever made you feel weird, guilty, awkward, or like you somehow “shouldn’t”…

You are in very good company. One customer told us there’s “so much inner noise telling us we are bad.”

That inner noise? Many of us inherited it.

But caring about your intimate health is not bad.
Wanting comfort is not bad.
Wanting to feel connected to your body is not bad.

Midlife is hard enough.

You don’t need shame in the passenger seat too.

It's "Testimonial Tuesday" and boy, do we have a good one: “Life changing.” That’s how one customer described her experience with Okanagan Glow:

“I have been using this for over a year now and it’s been life changing for me. I was suffering from severe dryness, pain and constant bladder infections. This product has been a game changer for me. I have tried several other moisturizers and nothing comes close to this one. I put 2 pumps on before I go to bed and I feel great now. Please never stop making this!”

This is why we talk so much about hydration in midlife.

Because dryness is not always just about intimacy.

It can affect daily comfort.
Confidence.
How you feel in your body.
And whether you feel like yourself.

Okanagan Glow was created to support v***a and vaginal hydration over time, because sometimes the smallest routine can make the biggest difference.

Me Time May means leaving outdated myths behind.

Because midlife women deserve real information, less shame, and way better conversations about sexual wellness.

Which myth have you heard before? 👀

MYTH: Only single people do "it".
FACT: Newsflash… relationship status has nothing to do with it. 😉

Single. Married. Dating. “It’s complicated.”
Self-pleasure is a normal part of sexuality for many people, regardless of whether they have a partner.

In fact, many women find that solo intimacy helps them:
• stay connected to their bodies
• understand what feels good
• support arousal and lubrication
• reduce stress
• improve confidence and communication with partners

And during midlife, that connection can become even more important as hormones, desire, and sensation change.

This is exactly why we’re talking about these myths all month long during ME time May. Because too many women grew up with shame instead of information.

No embarrassment. No judgment. Just honest conversations about women’s health and sexuality.

It’s Find Your Joy Friday. 💫

And for Me Time May, we’re giving you access to one of our most important SPARK Speaker Series conversations yet:

Pleasure & The Pause: Cultivating Pleasure During Peri/Menopause

Featuring Sarah Tomchesson, Certified S*x Educator, Embodied Intimacy Coach, Director of Marketing for Magic Wand, and Vice Chair of SIECUS.

Because here’s the truth:

Midlife changes your body.
But it doesn’t mean pleasure is over.

In this conversation, we talk openly about:

• Hormones and how they affect libido, arousal, and vaginal health
• The difference between desire and arousal (they are not the same thing)
• Why pleasure in midlife often needs a different approach
• How stress, relationships, confidence, and context all impact intimacy
• And how curiosity, self-exploration, and “Me Time” can actually support your wellbeing

This month, we’re focused on breaking stigma and starting better conversations around self-pleasure, intimacy, and midlife sexual health.

Because pleasure is not frivolous.
And taking time for yourself should not feel shameful.

Watch the seminar free today. Link in bio.

May celebrates "Me" time. Read more about it in our blog "31 Days, 31 Benefits.."

Because despite all the stigma, shame, and awkward silence around it, self-pleasure is a completely normal part of health and wellbeing.

And for midlife women especially, it can support:
• relaxation and stress relief
• better sleep
• increased blood flow and lubrication
• pelvic floor health
• confidence and body connection
• emotional release
• sexual wellness and comfort

This month, we’re opening up the conversation. Not to shock people. Not to be provocative. But because women deserve real information about their bodies.

Sometimes “ME Time” is more than a joke. Sometimes it’s self-care. Sometimes it’s reconnecting with yourself after years of putting everyone else first.

We’ll be sharing facts, tips, education, and expert conversations all month long in hopes of breaking the stigma and helping more women feel informed, empowered, and less alone.

Read the blog and discover all 31 benefits through the link in bio.
