Lately and right now at 4 am I’ve been reflecting on how important self-care really is. How much my body and mind is suffering for not making Self care a priority, i always have an excuse for my own selfcare the kids my business my clients my students.

But self care true self care not just the bubble baths or the occasional day off… but real self-care. The kind where you protect your energy. The kind where you choose environments that feel safe and expansive. The kind where you stop allowing other people’s chaos to become your nervous system’s problem.

Energy is real.

Who we surround ourselves with affects us more than we realize. Negative, heavy, critical, or draining energy doesn’t just rolk of us it sits in our body. It impacts our mood, our clarity, our sleep, our confidence, even our health.

And the opposite is true too.

Being around grounded, positive, emotionally mature people elevates us. It calms our nervous system. It reminds us who we are.

Self-care is learning to notice how you feel after being around someone.
Do you feel expanded or contracted?
Calm or anxious?
Inspired or drained?

Protecting your energy isn’t selfish.
It’s responsible.

The more I grow, the more I realize that self-care isn’t a luxury, it’s a standard. And the energy we allow around us is a choice.
