Another round!

Sinus & scalp tapping is one of my favourite practices. And ginger foot baths. And never exposing my low back or abdomen before or during my moon cycle… okay, I can’t pick a fav!!

If you aren’t doing these already, pick one! I’m telling you, lifestyle rituals are a GAME CHANGER. In the West we don’t have many cultural rituals that connect us to the rhythms of our bodies & nature. This is an essential part of not just surviving, but THRIVING.

If you are craving not just more energy, hair growth, or better digestion, but meaning & connection to the moon, your body, & your life, stick around. I got you.

This shhizzz is the best 🫶🏼👁️🙏🏼

This point protocol is a banger *especially if you add electrical stimulation or strong qi*.

There are many different systems of acupuncture, each one focusing on different points & techniques to provide different results.

This 5 point protocol is part of a Classical Chinese medicine lineage, most often used for mental health imbalances like depression, anxiety, OCD, & paranoia.

My mentor once used this for someone who had been living in a fog for 7 years. She had social anxiety so badly she rarely left the house & would have to use tapping methods for calmness just to get through a 20 minute grocery trip. These points were an absolute game changer. A few treatments in and her anxiety dropped from a 9/10 to a 5 and she no longer needed to tap her way through the produce aisle.

Sometimes it feels like magic, but the more we discover about neuroscience & consciousness, the more we realize, it’s just nature; and it all makes sense!

Constitution first! Which sucks sometimes honestly.

I can treat 5 different people for the exact same diagnosis, let’s say high blood pressure, and they will each be on a completely different formula & lifestyle plan. It’s outrageous!

You can’t make money like that 😂. Wouldn’t it be nice if pills worked universally? A one-size-fits-all kind of deal? But they don’t. Everyone is different & requires different medicine to support their health balance.

I am obsessed with this medicine because I’ve seen the power of it. It’s truly transformational. If you’ve tried herbs or health hacks and nothing is working for you, it’s not because the herbs don’t work, it’s not because you’re too far gone — it’s likely because you haven’t found the formula that is right for you.

Do you guys like these tidbits? I can share more if you find it helpful.

Lemme know you CM baddies 🫶🏼👁️🙏🏼

The pulse tells all! It’s a micro system within the body, fully expressing the overall health of the internal organs, fluids, & quality of qi & blood.

I had a famous Chinese medicine practitioner take my pulse once and say, “ahh when did you get your appendix removed?” 😮

I’m no pulse master myself but let me just say, it’s amazing how accurately it reveals information about your hormones, your energy levels, & many other symptoms.

Have you had your pulse checked before?!

Lifestyle rituals are the real deal.
In Chinese medicine we look at food, activities, weather, etc. — not just as results from a peer-reviewed papers — but as living, breathing expressions of life force.
We take into consideration, not just what an exercise does to your heart rate but how it influences fascia, qi movement, & nervous system health.

We don’t just see food as it’s isolated parts - ie. mg of iron, how much magnesium it has - we see it as an energetic system that interacts with our own energetic system.

When you start to live not just based on hustle-culture & reductionist science, and instead you awaken to the world of energy & the full expression of life force, you automatically step out of the world of parts, and into a living, breathing network of life!

Your body doesn’t want kale - it wants connection.
It doesn’t need just blueberries & collagen in a morning smoothie - it needs warmth, fire, metabolic support🔥

If you’re into this kind of reclamation – of taking back your health through connection - stick around.
I’m just getting started 👁️🙏🏼

It’s simple& effective ladies!
Healthy menstrual cycles are more than just nutrition, supplements, or hormones. It’s lifestyle too✌🏽

According to Chinese Medicine, these 3 areas of the body play a specific role & must be kept covered & warm🔥

1) MING MEN: this is the area between the kidneys. It translates to mean “the gate of life”. Exposure to cold or damp weather in your environment can innervate the channels resulting in stagnation & depletion of this fire. During your menstrual cycle, this results in draining your energy, increasing cramps, and making you feel chilled. No crop tops around your cycle ladies!

2) SPLEEN 6: aka SANYINJIAO. This Acu point is a BEAST when it comes to supporting healthy hormones & digestion. This point has a strong relationship with the uterus, and can regulate blood flow! Massaging this point & wearing wool socks has effectively reduced cramping for myself and my clients! Note: this point is contraindicated during pregnancy!

3) EARS: “the kidneys open to the ears” - this is Chinese medicine foundations my friends. When the ears are exposed to cold or damp, it is said to drain the energy of the kidneys. In TCM, this contributes to fatigue, cramping, & a general sense of being run-down. Can you relate?

Bottom line, keep these 3 precious areas warm around your menstrual cycle! Lifestyle tips are the real deal. Have you tried any of these? What was your experience? I’d love to know.

P.S. I have a “kidney warming belt” that I’m obsessed with. Want the deets? Comment “belt” below and I’ll send you a link! Also might make a reel about it because it’s life changing.

Your body doesn’t hate you, I promise. It’s simply doing its best to manage the physical & emotional environments we’re giving it!

When stress isn’t dealt with on the level of emotions, the body has to manage it on the physical level.

As a Chinese medicine practitioner, I see these 3 symptoms aaallll the time in people who don’t think they’re stressed:

1) TENSION BETWEEN SHOULDER BLADES: this area of the body is directly related to the liver and its ability to regulate the smooth flow of Qi. When you’re constantly in states of stress, tension, or overwhelm this organ system becomes burdened and backed up. Energy stops flowing smoothly and stagnates, causing restriction & chronic tension.

2) SIGHING: ever know anyone that is constantly letting out a big sigh? That’s the body’s attempt at relieving the tension and emotional stagnation that builds up in the diaphragm area. When you don’t let your emotions move freely, the energy builds up and sighing is your body trying to move it through.

3) CRAVING SOUR: salt & vinegar chips? Pickles? Sour candies? If these are on your hit list regularly it could be a sign that you’re stuffing down your emotions. The liver is largely responsible for managing stress from a Chinese medicine perspective. Sour flavours help balance the energy within the Liver organ system and craving them can mean your liver is asking for some support.
