“I’m eating the exact same way, but my sugars are creeping up.”

If you are in perimenopause or menopause and this sounds familiar, you are not losing your mind!!!

As estrogen declines, insulin resistance naturally increases. This means your body suddenly handles carbs differently, even if your habits haven’t changed at all.

But please don’t panic and start cutting out all carbohydrates. That’s gonna leave you feeling exhausted and intensify your craving sugar.

Instead, focus on what to ADD. Today, the food if the day is….Berries! Mostly cause I wrote a blog in berries and blog sugar, which you should totally check out!

But seriously, berries are packed with fiber & antioxidants, and they slow down digestion and smooth out the impact of carbs at meals and snacks.

Adding them to your daily routine helps buffer that hormonal shift and supports more stable glucose patterns. I’ve had my perfectionist days… but with age, comes wisdom! Really, the most important thing is you need to make small & realistic tweaks or changes to support your changing hormones.
