🌟 We’re Changing Our Name — And We’d Love You to Join Us! 🌟
After careful thought, our “Death Cafe” gatherings are now called HOPE Conversations — Honest Open Planning for End-of-Life.
We loved the Death Cafe movement and its mission to make talking about death normal. But we also heard that the original name sometimes felt heavy or kept people away.
HOPE better captures what we’re truly about:

Honest conversations
Open hearts
Practical planning
Expressing hope, connection, and meaning around life’s final chapter

The gatherings themselves remain exactly the same: warm, welcoming, non-judgmental, and filled with tea, coffee, and cake. Come as you are.

You’re invited to our next HOPE Conversation!
📅 May 4th - 10am
📍 673 Clifton Ave

Whether you want to talk about advance care planning, legacy, grief, or simply listen and connect — all are welcome.
Come for the conversation. Stay for the community. ❤️

☕ Death Café – April Events ☕
Celebrating life, and preparing for the end.

Join us for two free, relaxed, and honest conversations about life over tea and sweet treats.

No agenda, just neighbours coming together to talk openly about a topic we often avoid.

All are welcome.

Please note:
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to cancel the Ellershouse Death Café originally scheduled for March 26th.

We're really sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

The Cambridge Death Café on March 14th and the Hantsport Death Café on March 19th are still happening as planned—looking forward to seeing those who can make it! ☕

Thanks for understanding ❤️

"A name isn't a person. Don't ever remember someone by their name. To keep someone alive, you keep them inside you; you put their face on your heart. Then no matter where you are, they are always with you. Because they are a part of you."

Valentine’s Day can have weight and loneliness when someone you love is no longer here.

If you’re missing them today, know that your grief is valid, your love still matters, and their memory lives on through you.

Be soft with yourself. Hold space for the ache. Love doesn’t end; it simply changes shape. 🩷

Winter has a way of making grief feel louder.
The days are shorter, the nights are longer, and the cold can settle not just in our bones, but in our hearts.

If you’re grieving, know this: there is nothing wrong with you if this season feels heavy. Grief often deepens in the quiet months, when the world slows, and memories have more space to surface.

Be gentle with yourself. Rest when you need to. Speak their name. Let warmth come in small ways: soft blankets, shared stories, candlelight, connection.

You don’t have to carry grief alone, especially in winter. 🤍
