Marla Beblow Denturist Ltd.

Marla Beblow Denturist Ltd. Creating beautiful smiles! My roots trace back to the charming Shuswap town of Salmon Arm, where I have deep denture roots.

Watching my father transition from a Dental Technician to a licensed Denturist in our close-knit community inspired from the first time I stepped into his clinic as a curious teenager, until 1999 when I proudly earned my Denturist license. A milestone that marked the beginning of an incredibly fulfilling venture that include 6 years in Aldergrove, BC, then operating my own denturist clinic in the

heart of Salmon Arm for 17 more years. That whirlwind of growth and success, shaped me into the practitioner that I am today.

For better or worse (mostly worse...), Painless Parker is perhaps the most interesting dentist to have ever lived.

Born Edgar Parker, he legally changed his name to Painless Parker to avoid charges for false/misleading advertising. He lost his dental license in numerous states and used watered-down anesthetic. Rather than offering injections, he simply squirted the anesthetic at the tooth.

Painless Parker wore a necklace of teeth, rode an elephant, and performed his surgeries wearing a top hat.

The BC Ministry of Health has approved $4.25 million for the BC Farmers Market Nutrition Coupon Program, administered by the BC Association of Farmers Markets, for 2026. The funding is even with last year, and follows on $12 million provided in 2022-24. The funding is a cornerstone of BCAFM, providing eligible low-income, pregnant and senior individuals with $27 a week for purchases of locally grown produce at more than 100 participating farmers markets in 92 communities across BC. Funding has increased seven-fold since the program launched in 2012.
