Day 4 of our Dance Devotion
We all hold so much… in our minds in our bodies.
And often we are conditioned to continue holding it, because letting out anger, frustration, fear guilt is either not socially acceptable, or doesn’t feel safe.
This is where dancing can truly be the medicine!
Dancing in the fire element lets us release… tension, heaviness, contraction from the body… stress from the mind.
Bouncing, shaking, tapping, clapping, punching, kicking, stomping, jumping, are all great ways to let go of anything that is not serving you to continue holding. Add some vocals to it, and it can be even more powerful! 🔥
For the last few days I have been feeling agitated, irritated, easily frustrated.
After a long flying day yesterday, I came home exhausted so I’m a day behind in this 7 Day Dance Devotion. Today I just wanted to collapse into my body on the couch. But I knew that if I did, I would be stuck in this sucky energy ALL DAY, so instead I booked in at the last second (literally) with a friend’s dance class.🔥
I let my body move the way it wanted to release… a little of this, a little of that… and at the end, exhaustion… and JOY!
