This April 25, on World Malaria Day, we join the global call under the theme: “Driven to End Malaria: Now We Can. Now We Must.”

Malaria remains the leading cause of illness and death in our area.
Today, our Community Health Workers (CHWs), the backbone of Jali Afya, came together to reflect on the progress made, the challenges we still face, and the opportunities ahead as we work to eliminate malaria from our community. Communication for behavior changes and other thematic were discussed.

Together, we can end malaria. Together, we must.

Dr. Marx Lwabanya, ED at JA, carried this message from eastern DRC to the Global Health & Innovation Conference, organized by Unite For Sight, highlighting JALI AFYA’s work in a region shaped by decades of conflict. By empowering health providers in mental health, JA is helping build safer, more compassionate health facilities where every life is valued.
