My Poem for the day in Deutsch und Englisch: Heute bin ich wie an den meisten Tagen aufgewacht, mit dem Wissen, dass die Sonne bald aufgeht und ich viel zu tun habe. Im Leben eines Expats braucht jeder Tag Mut. ~ Today I woke up like most days, knowing the sun will rise soon and I have much to do. Every day takes courage in the life of an expat.

As an Eastern European immigrant I remember the history of the Ukrainian people. They are a strong, hardworking people. A people who have endured and suffered great atrocities under the Russian rule. My heart and soul is with the people of Ukraine 🇺🇦 and their fearless leader who has constantly been pounding the pavement to rally support for his country. President Zelensky is a true hero and the perfect person to be chosen for this Time magazine cover. He stands for Freedom , Democracy a chance for his people who are under constant attack and threats. He’s fighting for his country that has been brutally destroyed in every way possible historically and now again. God bless you Ukraine 🇺🇦!

Today I am looking back at the events in history that lead to these horrific events. Having been to Auschwitz death camp memorial the feeling of a painful silence that feels as thick as water the suffering of so many is heavy in the slightest breeze that passes through this land. My prayers for a world to end antisemitism and hate of all peoples. 🙏🏻 Let each of us be an act of kindness and love to each other everywhere every day.
