Happy Children’s Day. ❤️

Today we celebrate children.

Not only the children who are surrounded by comfort, opportunities, and safety, but also those growing up in difficult circumstances, facing challenges no child should have to carry.

Every child deserves to feel seen, valued, safe, encouraged, and loved.

As we celebrate the children in our lives today, may we also hold a thought for those who need a little more kindness, support, and hope in their world.

We all carry things.

Not only in our hands, but in our hearts, our thoughts, and eventually in our bodies.

The unfinished conversation.
The uncertainty.
The responsibility.
The waiting.
The things we cannot change.

Some we choose.
Some arrive uninvited.
Some stay longer than we hoped.

And after a while, the body begins to speak their language—in the shoulders, the back, the breath, the way we move through our days.

Tonight’s Poetry in Movement explores this invisible weight.

Not to fix it.
Not to analyze it.

But to notice it.

To move with it.

And perhaps, for a moment, allow it to rest.

Because sometimes the answer is not to carry more.

Sometimes it is to pause, breathe, and remember our own strength.

I am not interested in teaching movement
as performance.

I am interested in what happens
when someone finally exhales, softens, and begins to inhabit their body again.

Poetry in Movement was created as a space between dance, breath, sensation, imagination, and presence — a place where movement is not something to achieve, but something to experience.

No perfect bodies.
No pressure to “look right.”
Only movement as a way of returning closer to yourself.
