As a founder, there is always something that needs my attention.
Another idea.
Another email.
Another deadline.
Another task waiting to be completed.
For a long time, I treated rest as something I had to earn. I told myself that I would slow down once everything was done. The problem is that everything is never done.
What I've learned over the years is that recovery isn't the reward for hard work. It's what makes sustainable work possible. When I don't make space for rest, I notice it everywhere: in my energy, my focus, my creativity, and even in how present I am with the people around me.
Today, I try to remind myself that wellbeing isn't something we prioritize after success. It's something we need in order to sustain it.
A short walk.
An early night.
A quiet moment.
A few minutes without notifications.
Small acts of recovery can make a bigger difference than we often realize. So here's a reminder for anyone who needs it today:
You don't have to earn your rest.
What's one thing you do to recharge when life feels overwhelming?
