The regattas are held in an "open" formula that is open to men, women, young and old, able and disabled.

Disabled and able-bodied people compete on equal terms with the 2.4mR class sailboat. What has made this small boat famous in the world of sailing is the possibility of seeing able-bodied athletes and disabled athletes at par, without special rankings that reveal this 'differentiability' because, precisely due to the peculiarities of the 2.4mR they can access this sport with the same chances of an athlete who does not present any problems.
