THE TRUTH ABOUT ENERGY DRINKS AND YOUR HEART ⚠️🫀

Many people drink energy drinks to stay awake, study longer, work night shifts, or boost performance.
But what many don’t know is that too much energy drink can put serious stress on the heart.

Most energy drinks contain high amounts of caffeine, sugar, and stimulants that can cause:

• Fast heartbeat
• High blood pressure
• Palpitations
• Anxiety and restlessness
• Difficulty sleeping
• Chest pain

In some people, especially those with hidden heart problems, excessive use can even lead to dangerous heart rhythm problems, collapse, or sudden death.

The risk becomes higher when energy drinks are mixed with:

- Alcohol
- Smoking
- Lack of sleep
- Stress
- Intense physical activity

Your body needs rest, water, proper nutrition, and sleep — not constant stimulation.

One can once in a while may not be dangerous for everyone, but depending on energy drinks daily is not healthy.

Listen to your body.
If your heart is always racing after taking them, that’s a warning sign.

Protect your heart before it starts begging for help.

WHY ARE PEOPLE SUDDENLY DYING FROM HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE? 🩺

Many people think high blood pressure only affects old people.
That is no longer true.

Young people are now collapsing, having strokes, heart failure, and sudden death because of uncontrolled hypertension.

The scary part?
High blood pressure is often called the “silent killer” because many people feel completely normal until complications happen.

Some common reasons include:

• Too much stress and lack of rest
• Excess salt and unhealthy eating
• Alcohol, smoking, and energy drinks
• Lack of exercise
• Ignoring regular checkups
• Stopping medications when they “feel fine”

Your body can warn you with:

- Frequent headaches
- Dizziness
- Chest pain
- Blurred vision
- Difficulty breathing
- Fast heartbeat

But sometimes… there may be NO symptoms at all.

Please check your blood pressure regularly, even if you feel healthy.
One small check today can save your life tomorrow.

Don’t wait until it becomes an emergency.

THINGS NURSES WISH PATIENTS KNEW BEFORE COMING TO THE HOSPITAL 🩺

1. Not every fever is malaria.
Stop treating yourself at home for days before coming to the hospital.

2. Tell the truth about what you took.
The drugs, herbs, alcohol, or substances you used can affect treatment.

3. Come early.
Many emergencies become worse because patients delay until the condition is critical.

4. Nurses are trying their best.
Sometimes one nurse is caring for many patients at the same time.

5. Prevention is cheaper than treatment.
Regular checkups, healthy eating, exercise, and enough rest can save your life.

6. Finish your medications.
Feeling better doesn’t mean the illness is completely gone.

7. Respect healthcare workers.
Behind every uniform is a human being working to save lives.

Health is wealth. Don’t only remember the hospital when things become serious.

🩺 NURSES WEEK HEALTH TALK 👩🏽‍⚕️👨🏽‍⚕️

This Nurses Week, let’s take a moment to appreciate the people who dedicate their lives to caring for others — nurses.

Nurses are often the first to attend to patients and the last to leave their bedside. They monitor patients, give medications, provide emotional support, educate families, and respond quickly during emergencies. Beyond the injections and treatments, nurses offer compassion, comfort, and hope. ❤️

However, many people forget that nurses are humans too. Long working hours, stress, emotional exhaustion, and lack of rest can affect their physical and mental health. A healthy nurse is better able to care for patients effectively.

🔹 How can we support nurses?
• Respect healthcare workers
• Follow medical advice and hospital rules
• Be patient and kind during care
• Appreciate nurses for their hard work
• Encourage rest and mental well-being among healthcare staff

To every nurse out there: thank you for your sacrifices, dedication, and service to humanity. Your work saves lives every single day. 💉✨

Happy Nurses Week! 🩺❤️
