EMEMIKE HEALTH FOUNDATION & St. Michael Health Center Capacity Building Workshop

We are pleased to share that EMEMIKE HEALTH FOUNDATION, in collaboration with St. Michael Health Center, successfully held a capacity building workshop focused on Strengthening Organizational Structure and Programme Implementation.
The session was expertly facilitated by the Executive Director of Women’s Global Empowerment Initiative, who guided participants through practical strategies for building stronger systems, improving programme delivery, and enhancing overall organizational effectiveness.
The workshop was highly interactive and impactful.

Participants left with clearer frameworks for governance, better tools for programme planning and ex*****on, and renewed commitment to delivering quality health services to the communities we serve.

This training marks an important step in our continuous efforts to strengthen our institutions and expand our impact. We remain grateful to our facilitator and to everyone who contributed to the success of the workshop.

INTERNATIONAL WORLD DAY OF PEACE

Theme: Cultivating a Culture of Peace

At EMEMIKE HEALTH FOUNDATION, we believe there is no health without peace, and no peace without health.

On this International World Peace Day, we stand with the global community to promote peace in our homes, our communities, and our health facilities. In our work as health workers in Buea and beyond, we have seen that conflict wounds more than the body it wounds the mind, breaks families, and stops access to care.

Poor health thrives where there is no peace, and peace cannot thrive where people have no access to healthcare.

Today, we call on everyone to:

- Choose dialogue over violence.
- Show compassion to the vulnerable, the sick and displaced.
- Promote mental health, kindness and community healing.
- Support equal access to healthcare for all, regardless of tribe, language or background.

Peace begins with a simple act — listening to your neighbor, caring for a stranger, washing a wound, sharing health education.

Let us be peace ambassadors in our clinics, in our streets, and in our homes.

In collaboration with St. Michael Hospital – Bomaka, educative talks have been held in communities to raise awareness on key social and health issues.

Sessions have been on Gender-Based Violence, exploring its causes and practical preventive measures to promote safer environments for all.

The discussions highlighted the importance of personal hygiene in homes and communities, emphasizing simple practices that will help prevent diseases and support overall well-being.

In addition, parents and caregivers were guided on positive parenting through holistic approaches that nurture children’s physical, emotional, and social development, contributing to the building of a stronger and better generation.

EMEMIKE HEALTH FOUNDATION, in collaboration with St. Michael Health Center, paid a humanitarian and health-focused visit to Godfirst Orphanage and Home for the Needy. The visit was organized as part of the Foundation's commitment to promoting the health, wellbeing, dignity, and social welfare of vulnerable children and individuals within the community.
The visit provided an opportunity for the team to interact with the children and caregivers, assess their general health needs, provide health education, and offer support and encouragement.
Objectives of the Visit
The main objectives of the visit were to:
Promote the physical and emotional wellbeing of the children.
Provide basic health education and health awareness.
Identify some of the health and welfare needs of the children.
Encourage proper personal hygiene and healthy living practices.
Show love, care, and support to children and other vulnerable persons.
Strengthen collaboration between community-based organizations and health facilities in supporting vulnerable populations.
