ONE DAY TO LIVE
One day, you will lose everything you spent your life trying to hold.
The question is: will you lose yourself before you lose it?
You cannot keep people forever.
You cannot control every outcome.
And you cannot fight your way into owning what life never promised you.
There is something about life we rarely stop to consider.
You came into this world with nothing.
And one day, you will leave with nothing.
Yet somewhere between those two moments, we spend so much of our lives trying to possess, control, prove, compete, judge, and hold on to things that were never truly ours.
Sometimes, fighting is how you lose.
Not because you should never fight for what matters.
But because fighting to keep what you cannot own can make you lose yourself.
A relationship.
A position.
A possession.
A reputation.
Someone's approval.
A particular outcome.
You fight so hard to keep it...
And somewhere along the way,
you forget who you are.
So go for what you want.
Dream.
Build.
Pursue.
Love.
Become.
But remember:
Pursue, but don't possess.
Love, but don't control.
Build, but don't become owned by what you build.
Walk your path, but don't condemn another person's journey.
Life is like a floating balloon.
You don't control the wind.
You don't control every direction life will take you.
But you can choose what you make of the journey.
You didn't choose how you entered this world.
Your first breath was given to you freely.
And perhaps life keeps teaching us the same lesson:
Receive.
Experience.
Appreciate.
Release.
Become.
People will come.
People will go.
Doors will open.
Doors will close.
Some seasons will give you abundance.
Others will give you lessons.
Don't spend your entire life asking:
“How do I keep this?”
Sometimes the better question is:
“What can I make of this while I have it?”
Find your light.
Let it guide your days.
And when your light grows dim, don't be ashamed to receive light from someone else.
Another person's light does not diminish yours.
Appreciate people.
Learn from people.
Celebrate people.
But don't become so fascinated by someone else's light that you forget to discover your own.
Live you.
Be truly you.
And let others be themselves too.
Because judgment can become a subtle form of self-sabotage.
The moment you become consumed with judging another person's journey, you stop fully experiencing your own.
We are all in transition.
All becoming.
All learning.
All experiencing this existence from different perspectives.
Different stories.
Different paths.
Different lessons.
One existence.
All in one.
One in all.
So live and let others live.
Appreciate without possessing.
Love without controlling.
Celebrate without comparing.
Give without keeping score.
💕 Love like it's all you can do.
Because nobody promised you tomorrow.
Perhaps all you really have is one day to live.
Day and night.
This breath.
This moment.
This experience.
And then the day ends.
Maybe tomorrow comes.
Maybe it doesn't.
So while you're here:
LIVE.
LOVE.
BECOME.
APPRECIATE.
CELEBRATE.
Find your light.
Respect the light of others.
And when the wind changes direction...
Don't waste your life fighting the wind.
Move with it.
Maybe life was never about controlling the journey.
Maybe the awakening is realizing that...
the journey itself was the gift.
