Why is there a sample fee for a custom uniform?
A custom sample is not simply one piece taken from the production line. It is the first physical version of a garment that needs to be developed according to specific measurements, construction, and design requirements.
For a new style, our pattern maker first develops the pattern based on the required specifications. The fabric is then cut according to the pattern, with each garment component prepared individually before being sewn together.
Once the sample is assembled, the measurements, proportions, fit, and construction can be checked. If adjustments are needed, the pattern or garment may need to be modified before the final version is confirmed.
In bulk production, these preparation and setup costs are spread across a large quantity. For a sample, the same development work is carried out for only one or a few pieces.
This is why custom samples involve a separate sample fee — the cost is not just for the garment itself, but for the work required to develop it.
